So, after a lot of research and expert guidance from Vince @highpointscientifc (www.highpointscientic.com), I exchanged the telescope. We previously had a CPC Deluxe 800 with Edge HD Optics and we swapped it for Celestron Advanced VX Series 8″ EdgeHD Go To Telescope. The primary reason for me to make this change is the mount. Our OTA’s also play a vital role, however for astro photography and for long exposure shots, I am convinced that an equatorial mount is a better option to go with. Thank you Vince for convincing me on this one. We also, did some tweaks to the order we placed earlier. Below are the changes we made:
Celestron CPC Deluxe 800 with Edge HD Optics.Celestron Advanced VX Series 8″ EdgeHD Go To Telescope (New item)
- Celestron SkyPortal WiFi Module.

- Celestron Canon EOS T-Ring for 35mm SLR Cameras.
- Celestron Ultima Duo 13 mm Eyepiece with Imaging T-Threads – 1.25″/2″. (New item)
Over the next couple of days I will be updating the links on this post and the previous post if anyone is interested to know more about the items. I think this reminds me of the saying “Change is the only thing that is constant in our lives”.
As of now, the items will be shipped on Friday in the evening. I do plan on shooting an un-boxing video. I request my friend for help, who was kind enough to oblige.
To end this post and to mark the significance of both these amazing telescopes and the confused state of my mind, I proudly present to you
